#99. Floetry by JulietKego: Losing a Best Friend

Best Friend

Floetry by JulietKego: Losing a Best Friend

The worst way to
lose a best friend
is other than
through death
for she is a
welcomed kiss,
a kind
finality

‘Tis torture
to have them
live on and share
the same air
with you
so close
and yet forever
lost

A day will come
when trust shatters
the wall surrounding
two hearts
and they become
worse
than soulless
strangers

And on that day
when souls weep
you must
let them go
gently, like blowing
bubbles into air
Trusting,
in losing them
love grows more.

  1. This deeply written, and deeply felt.

    “And on that day
    when souls weep
    you must
    let them go
    gently, like blowing
    bubbles into air
    Trusting
    in losing them
    love grows more.”

I’m saving this in my heart. Thanks.
