Floetry by JulietKego: Collecting Dust…

You’re a special story-book
I never grow tired of reading
yet must somehow put down
on a console in my basement

And as you sit there, collecting dust
I pat myself for resisting the pull
to touch the soft and hardcovers
of your pages…

But you’re now soul-stamped in me
whispered words, woven within & deeply
stitched into threads of my fabric
Beloved, I carry my life & yours in verses
with every breath of living..

There’s no chamber
housing my heart-being
freed from fantasies and memories
of you and I; our stirring, sad stories
of dreams that never happen.

I'd love to hear from you! Leave a Comment below, thanks :-)
